BACKGROUND |

The biomethanisation consists in an anaerobia fermentation of humid biomass mixture, which is going to be transformed in several products (fertilizer, energy). This fermentation in the presence of bacteria's is going to result in the formation of a gas rich in methane, the “biogas”. The installation produces biogas with an avarage density of methane of 60%. Drawn along into a cogeneration module it will entitle to produce at the same time electricity and heat. The “green” electricity as a renewable energy source, produced will be feed into the gird. The substratum remaining in the tank, the “biodigestat”, has something in common with an organic improved manure. Including the investigate for a diversification of income in the agricultural sector, thanks to the bogas technology, the project aims to analyse within the scope of “innovation”, the economic and ecological problems and potentials of new technology regarding the different tegional, ecological, agricultural and administrative structures. The BioProFarm project (http://www.bioprofarm.eu) wants to improve the implantation of biomethanisation systems in European countries. Apart from technical feasibility and profitability, the non-polluting and lasting character of this project is of greatest importance. The project arises from the present bottlenecks in European agricultural policy, the given rigid structures of the subsidized products and the resulting serious consequences at the arising of the sectorial problems. |
