Beyond FP6 PROTECTOR
research towards market penetration.
The
PROTECTOR core actions are innovative technology and product
applications using organic waste/by-product recycled materials by
advanced thermal and biotechnological recycling, which matching
international products' standards, advanced design requirements and
high quality consumer needs. The first
application and further market uptake of the PROTECTOR best
eco-innovative technique is also an "hardware" type new
recycling installation and infrastructure investment, which system is
already have been technically demonstrated with success in the EU FP6
514082 RTD programme, but have not yet penetrated the market.
The PROTECTOR technology has been developed under the EU FP5 (2002-2005) and FP6 (2005-2008) RTD Framework Programme, uniting past decades of scientific advancements in the subject of biochar and soil science and international cooperation in nine countries, including SE, HU, DE, NL, FR, IT, IL, ES and the UK. Extensive international cooperation developed, all in order to test PROTECTOR methods and products under different climatic and soil conditions. The PROTECTOR technology has already been successfully technically demonstrated but not yet penetrated the market. The FP6 program innovation results at significant and demonstrable progress towards the goal of sustainable development, through reducing environmental impacts and achieved a more efficient and responsible use of natural resources, including energy. Preparatory researches and results in the PROTECTOR FP6 RTD program (Contract number: Food-2005-514082). ![]() ![]() PROTECTOR nursery and field test (FP6 RTD program)
