Plant Research International works within the Plant
Sciences Group of Wageningen UR, together with Applied Plant
Research and Wageningen University. By integrating knowledge in
the fields of genetics and reproduction, crop protection, crop
ecology and agricultural systems, Plant Research International
offers a host of fresh perspectives to industry and public
institutions, agriculture, horticulture, and agro-ecosystems
linked to landscape and nature development. The research
cluster "Ecological Interactions" within Plant Research
International, led by Dr. ir. C.J.H. Booij, is performing
research into all microbiological aspects of soils, substrates
and rhizospheres of key crop plants. One of the gaols is to
develop measures to reduce pathogen threat.
